Happy Fall Ya’ll!
Ok well we don’t actually have “fall” but I decided to see if I could pull off some fall decor in my home without it feeling like we live near the woods. The only seasons we have are Hurricane season, hella hot, and 70 degrees. I don’t know about you but I needed change, something to celebrate. Let’s be honest… at this point in 2020 we will celebrate every little positive thing we can get. So let’s talk fall…
My living room is very light & bright so how do you bring in muted fall colors without changing everything? Easy, I went to Targets dollar section and grabbed a few pumpkins and faux stems. I hope one day I will become that plant lady everyone hope’s to be… but with little kids around all the time… I just can’t (or at least I won’t pretend I am).
Turn’s out I love burnt orange and grays together. I actually found these pillow covers on Amazon. If you are ever wanting to change up the decor in your home but not spend a ton of money… change the pillow covers. These are feather down pillows and I measured them and just bought new covers for them. I think I spent $15 for the set. Always check out Amazon!
This Samsung Frame TV makes the biggest difference in this room! I honestly hate that I’m saying that but it really does. Especially since this is our only living space and you see it right when you walk in the front door. It makes the space not just feel like a TV room right when you walk in. I absolutely love it!
Another thing I really invested into this season was candles! Grabbed a few different scents from Target this year and it just really brings up the mood in our home. Whether we are having people over or just for ourselves… sense of smell really does set the tone.
Well what do you think? Did I pull off “fall” in our 98 degree home? Do you change things up for fall or do you just wait till Christmas?
Design a life you love!
